Wanda Fae Tyrrell passed away peacefully from this temporal earth and onto her eternal home with Jesus on Saturday July 13, 2019 at the age of 95. She joined the love of her life in Heaven, her late husband Bill, by joining him on his birthday to help him celebrate and make up for the years lost. Wanda was currently residing at Baptist Village in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but had been a longtime resident of both Fargo and Shattuck, Oklahoma.
Wanda was born to Lloyd and Della Benger on May 20th, 1924 in Fargo, Oklahoma. She was the middle child, and had two sisters, Zella and Lois. Wanda met her husband, Bill, at a young age while in school at Fargo, Oklahoma, where they were married at the ages of 18 and 21. They married on July 11th, 1942, at the Fargo United Methodist Parsonage. They went on to have two sons, Jim and Jerry. While they had to experience the unimaginable loss of their son Jerry, at the age of 16, they were also blessed to share 54 years of marriage together.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma, Wanda had a genuine love of others, and loved being part of her church family. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was a genuine example of Christ’s love for others, and her impact has been far reaching. If you knew Wanda, you were blessed to have known one of the most kind, caring, loving, gentle and tenderhearted souls there was. She will be deeply missed.
Wanda joins her parents Lloyd and Della Benger, her husband Bill and son Jerry, and her sister Zella, who have all preceded her in Heaven. She is survived by her son Jim and his wife Cathy, her grandchildren Jeremy and his wife Jennifer, Julie and her husband John, and Jill, her 7 great grandchildren; MaKayla, MaKenzie, MaKaris, MaKlaire, Trevor, Kinley and Skylar, as well as her sister Lois.
A memorial service for Wanda will be held on this coming Friday, July 19th at 11am. Services will be at Crossings Community Church in their Prayer room located at 14600 North Portland Ave, OKC 73134.
1 Corinthians 2:9. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.”

Dear Jim, Cathy and Family,
We are so sorry for you loss of your precious mother. She was a great lady and I truly appreciated her guidance as a young pastor’s wife. She will be missed but oh the rejoicing in heaven. If only we could take a peek into heaven, oh the rejoicing and celebration we would see!

I’m not sure I’ve ever met two more joyful and loving people than Bill and Wanda. Great rejoicing must have taken place when Wanda walked through the gates of Heaven. What a reunion! So grateful for having know them both and watched their Christ-like examples. May God ease your grief with the knowledge of Heaven.
