Evelyn went to her heavenly home with the Angels on April 29. 2018 at the young age of 93. She was born to Alice and Charles Wagher on July 11, 1924 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Evelyn was one of 5 children, Edith, BettyJoe, Charles and Bobby. She married the love of her life, Carl K. Grier on March 25, 1951 in Eureka, Kansas.
Evelyn started every day by praising God and thanking Jesus for her many blessings , which included 6 children: Bruce Williams, Alecia Williams, Pam Chambers, Karla, Greg and Kathy Grier; sons-in-law and daughter-in-law Charles Mayes, J.D. Sillers, Jake Vandaveer, Jesse Hernandez, Pam Grier and Bill McCourry; and 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She loved to travel and was blessed to take numerous trips with family and friends. She went to many places in the U.S., including Hawaii but also traveled to Israel, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Canada.
Evelyn loved to have a great time, dancing, singing and playing games, such as cards and BINGO! She was known to say “What are we gonna do next, I don’t want to just sit here and look at each other.” She also enjoyed painting and other crafts, especially making dolls, quilts, and Christmas ornaments, to name a few, making them for her grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Alice & Charles Wagher, her husband Carl Grier, sister, Edith Wieland, son, Bruce Williams, 2 grandsons David Henley and Matt Williams, granddaughter Lori Daniel, son-in-law J.D. Sillers and a special son-in-law, Charles Mayes.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Victory Church located at 4300 N MacArthur Blvd, Warr Acres, OK 73122

Every was one of my sweetest friends in Oklahoma City who I knew for many years through church when she fell and could no longer Drive I used to take her to her weekly hair appointments, shopping, dog groomers, Etc. Then, I helped her look for and find lionwood Senior Living. Farewell to Heaven, dear Evie, friend of mine!
