Barbara Lee Rowe

Barbara Lee Rowe passed on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, she was 82 years young.  Barbara lived in Oklahoma City all of her life and graduated from Classen High School in 1953.  She worked for Dan Grey in the County Court Clerks Office and then worked over 35 years for the US Federal Bankruptcy Court as a Deputy Court Clerk until retirement. Barbara also enjoyed her time working at the Oklahoma Art Gallery at the State Fair each year.  She dedicated many decades of volunteer work for the Red Andrew’s Christmas Dinner, which was established by her uncle, Ernest “Red” Andrews. Barbara enjoyed being Grani B to her grandchildren and great grand-children. She loved sharing laughter and her megawatt smile.  Mom enjoyed the great outdoors especially time spent by Lake Overholser.  She loved to hunt and fish in early years, however quiet time on the rocks Of Overholser shores was her solace. Humor was always her default to challenging times, always wanting to share her love and her enormous heart.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, George Curtis Cassil And mother Florence Eva Cassil; her brothers Bobby Cassil and Kenneth Cassil and daughter Kimberly Rowe. She is survived by nun her sister Betty Cassil and brother Larry George Cassil, Sr.. She is also survived by her children, Vicki Lynn Lippoldt and husband Bill, Monte Mel Rowe, Jr. and wife Deanne Kress, Kel Dane Rowe and husband Mark Lawson. Her grandchildren include Amber Johnson and husband Slayton, Jaysen Paul Lippoldt and wife Preeti Shah, Alixandra Mae Rowe and great grandchildren LJ Mangrum, Kingston Johnson, Cyrus Shah-Lippoldt, Finley Johnson, Ayla Shah-Lippoldt and Hazin Johnson.

The celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at the Grand Hall of Castle Falls on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00pm.
