Surrounded by loving family and friends, Bonita Lee Hagar (Burton, Saunders) age 84 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, departed this earth on December 20th, 2018 after a sudden stroke.
From her birth in Ada, Oklahoma, on September 18th, 1934 to her death, her life was filled with fun memories and also her share of heartaches.
She was born to Floyd Ward and Effie (Smith) Ward. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends, decorating her home and shopping. Her sense of style and impeccable taste was known by all and never waned. She was the epitome of class. She was a bookkeeper for many years and a co-owner of Oklahoma City Meat Company with husband, Pete Saunders.
To honor Bonita and remember her love are her daughter, Karla Briscoe (Burton) and her son Mark Burton, four grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, baby daughter Deborah Kay, son Bond and sister Charlene.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Integris Hospice House.
Private services will be held at a later time.
