Carlos Felipe Rérat

Carlos passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2024

His Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Chapel at Oklahoma City Cremation (807 W. Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK) on Saturday - January 13th at 10:00AM.

Our father was born August 4th, 1933, to Charles Phillipe and Anatilde Rérat in Bogata, Columbia. 

Carlos came to the United States and pursued a military career with the US Army in Whittier, AK. This followed his university studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

Carlos met Mary at a Madonna College dance. They married in 1959. Our father had many earthly blessings. He would tell you his family was his greatest accomplishment.

Carlos was a thinker and tinkerer. This made him a perfect fit  for his highly successful and well-established career as an engineer focusing in metallurgy. He is globally recognized and holds many patents.

Carlos found much joy traveling the United States (his adopted country) visiting museums, enjoying national parks and historical sites with his family.  He truly cherished visiting with family and lifelong friends along the way. He enjoyed sharing in a bowl of ice cream, a root beer and making plans for the next day.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Mary; his three daughters: Ann Marie Beer & her husband Jay Zollicoffer of Tulsa, OK; Lizette Williamson of Oklahoma City; Patricia Bole and her husband David of Wichita Falls, TX. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Phillip and his wife Cari Rérat and Kyra Beer. Additionally, he is survived by four great-grandchildren: Phillip and Harriet Rérat; twins Otis and Paxtyn Beer.

Mary Rérat and our entire family would like to thank the staff at Iris Memory Care, Frontier Hospice and Interim Hospice for their attentive care and support.
