Carolee Ann Frank, a free spirit who left her unique mark on the world, departed from us unexpectedly on October 9, 2023, at the age of 68. Born in Kansas City, MO, Carolee spent most of her life in Norman, OK, and Oklahoma City.
Carolee was a proud alumna of John Marshall High School and Oklahoma State University. She spent most of her working days in information technology, creating applications, developing web pages, and providing support. Upon her retirement in 2020, Carolee found solace in her lifelong passions, championing the rights of senior citizens and dedicating herself to the cause of "old lives matter." Her unwavering commitment to this cause touched the lives of countless individuals.
A prolific writer, Carolee delighted in sharing her works with family and friends.
Carolee is survived by her daughter Erin and son Kevin (Alicia); three beloved granddaughters Adele, Colette, and Genevieve; sisters Mary and Kathy (Dave); brothers Jon (Diane) and Paul (Kerry); and her faithful feline companion. She was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie and her father Gael. All who had the privilege of knowing her will miss her love, wisdom, and indomitable spirit.
Carolee will be laid to rest in a private family-only ceremony. Her family kindly invites all who knew Carolee to celebrate her life in a manner that reflects the unique bond they shared with her. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI Greater OKC Inc. or The Oklahoma Alliance on Aging, Inc.
