Carolyn had a passion for her students. She was a teacher and counselor at Tulakes Elementary. She was gifted to be able to calm a crying child, or a frustrated parent. She was special, and I am blessed by calling her a colleague and friend.
Craig Dearing says
Not enough can be said about the goodness of my sister, the most Loving caring woman I’ve ever known, much like our mother. I Love that she can rest receiving Love and thoughts from all of our wonderful friends and Family. You will be missed sister. I Love you!
Mona Trice says
If there was an Olympic Event for sisters and/or friends, she would have taken the gold. We had an amazing 80 years of sharing (she didn’t say much until she was 2) and I will miss those times for the rest of my years.

Aunt C, as I called her, has always had a special place in my heart. I could always talk to her about anything going on in my life and she was always there to give great advice and a kind ear or shoulder to cry on!! If we told her something she wasn’t quite expecting, she would take a moment before answering (as she wanted to weigh her words) and say, “Hm, that is interesting” and then in the kindest possible way straighten my ass out!! She was a huge influence in my life and I know she knew how much I loved and admired her. I know we will see you again, Aunt C, and that gives me much comfort. Forever, Les
