R. Keith Ward says
First, and most important, my condolences to the family of David Allen Blood, whether or not he happens to have been a distant relative of mine.
I was wondering whether he happened to be a descendant or other later relative of Dalton A. Blood (1898-after 1950) and Mary Rhoda Atkeson Blood (1870-1956), longtome residents of Ada and both buried in Rosedale Cemetery. I don’t know whether this Dalton and Mary had any children or not, but he may have had a brother named Calvin Blood, Jr. (their mother and father were Calvin A.(1857-1947) and Sarah J. (maiden name unknown) Blood(1870-1956), both of whom are buried in Rosedale Cemetery).
Mary Rhoda Atkeson Blood was the daughter of Harrison Monroe Atkeson and Mary Parthanie Ward (1874-1974), who (now the possible connection to me) was a sister of my grandfather Andrew Jackson Ward, resident of Milo, OK, and buried in Milo Cemetery. Both Mary and Harrison Atkeson are buried in Rosedale Cemetery, as were more of her brothers and sisters.
If perchance you have no interest in genealogy, please forgive my intrusion into your grief in this manner—but if you do, I’m sure there is some connection here. I live in Oklahoma City, my email is rkward@swbell.net and my home phone is 405-691-1937.
