David Crutcher, born December 6, 1947, in Lawton, Oklahoma, passed away at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fran Crutcher, who passed away in 2018. Together, they shared 45 years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and deep companionship.
David was a devoted father to his two sons, Chris and Charles. He is also survived by his brother Bill and his wife Linda, his sister Mary and her husband Woody, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
A man of great courage, David proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. His service to his country was a testament to his character, and his dedication to his fellow soldiers and his country will never be forgotten.
David spent over 30 years as a respiratory therapist at the VA Hospital, where he provided compassionate care to countless veterans and patients. His career at the VA exemplified his lifelong commitment to helping others and making a positive impact on those around him.
David's kindness, strength, and loyalty left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His family, friends, and fellow veterans will remember him for his great sense of humor, quick wit, and the boundless love he had for his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a veterans’ organization in his memory.
David’s memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace, reunited with Fran, his true love.
