David Lynn Hurt was born in May of 1958 in Kermit Texas, to Lester Franklynn Danforth II and Barbara Jean Hurt. He passed away on April 2nd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a two year battle with cancer.
David grew up in Drumright, Oklahoma, later graduating from Olive High School in 1976. After high school he attended Oklahoma State University. Following college he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he was employed by General Motors, retiring after a lifelong career.
He was preceded in death by Lester Danforth and his adoptive father, Donald Eugene Hurt. He is survived by his mother; daughters, Ashley Ryan Hurt and Erin Lynnette Hurt; granddaughter, Harley Sophia Cadiz; sisters, Wendy Sue Deason and Dana Michelle Webb; former wife, Robin Elaine Metzger; uncles Lonnie Ray Nine and Raymond Leon Farmer; One nephew and six nieces, whom he loved as his own children; many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Southern Hills Baptist Church located at 8601 S Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159, on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Thoughts and prayers for the family cancer is vsry mean. My brother Ron also born in may of 1858 and want to school at olive passed away Monday if cancer. We only found out about two weeks ago. Hope time will lighten our hearts. They will always be in our hearts
