Born on August 28, 1943, in the small town of Whitco, Kentucky, Donald embodied the values of dedication, service, and love for family that defined him throughout his life. He departed this world on October 10, 2024, in Oklahoma City, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Donald’s life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his country. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1963, embarking on a journey that would see him rise through the ranks to achieve the esteemed position of Master Sergeant before retiring in 1982. His military service not only reflected his dedication but also shaped his character—fostering a sense of discipline, camaraderie, and a profound respect for the freedom he helped to protect.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Harvey and Cleta Banks. Their guidance and support were instrumental in shaping the man he became. Donald carried their values with him, instilling them in all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
