A Celebration of life

Castle Falls
820 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127
I was born February 20th, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles & Colleen Adams. I was an only child which I always hated 101. My Dad was transferred to Chicago when I was 10 and back to Oklahoma City when I was 14. I attended Hefner Jr. High and graduated in 1974 from Putnam City High School. (GO PIRATES!) I attended OU for a semester but decided college wasn’t for me. I took a few classes later and in California but did not finish. That is one of my biggest regrets. I always wanted to graduate from OU. My first job was at Target, of which I was always very proud! My early career was in banking, working for Founders Bank and Liberty National Bank in OKC and First Interstate Bank in Newport Beach, California. I worked for 6 fabulous years in the oil business for Winterwood Energy Corporation (BEST JOB EVER) later transitioning into wonderful management positions with Spa Gregorie’s Premiere Day Spa in Newport Beach, CA and closing out my career with Eden Salon & Spa in Oklahoma City. I took pride in each job I held and especially prided myself in being honest and always doing the right thing and balancing the books to the penny! I loved playing softball, water skiing, swimming and was quite the accomplished bowler. I loved Thunder basketball, Anaheim Angels baseball, Oklahoma Sooner football and even OSU Cowboy football.
My greatest accomplishment in life was having Shaun David Scheffe. Of all the things I’ve done and places I’ve been and crazy times I’ve experienced, the best one above all the others is Shaun. Thank you Shaun, for bringing such joy to my life. I love you so very much. You chose a great life partner! Kara … l love you so very much Sweetheart and I’m so happy you and Shaun found each other! Jensen & Benjamin are products of your genuine love and I adore them!
To J and Ben Ben I say, “Grandma loved you with all her heart. Be good boys who grow up to be good men. Never lie and always mind Mommy and Daddy. I’m so glad I got to meet you!”
I had two great ex-husbands, Allan Paine and Bob Scheffe. To them I want to say cheers to all the good times! And a special thanks to you Bob for Shaun! Life took many crazy directions and there are others who touched my life dearly. To them I also say thanks for the steps to get to where I was supposed to be …. to my sweet Holly Jo. There aren’t enough words in the world to express my love and thanks for all the WONDERFUL years we had together. You were my ROCK and my ANGEL. I loved you from the minute I met you! And, as our song goes, I’ll Always Love You!
To my extended family …. cuz Gregg and Aunt Pris and all my 2nd cousins and on down the chain, thanks for being a part of my family tree and lots of great memories of family reunions over the years.
To my “pseudo kids” Jake, Nick & Kristen ….. l love you like you were my own. Thank you for the laughs and for ALWAYS making me feel comfortable, oh and please thank your Mom too! Love to your spouses and kids, blessings to you always.
To all my dearest friends Jimmy, Johnboy, Allison, Renise, Kimmy, Sheila, Ron, Dale, Karigirl & Amanda ….. thank you for all the crazy good times! To them and to their spouses and to all my other friends, “Thanks for the memories!”
My greatest love of all was my family. I am survived by my loving wife Holly, my wonderful son Shaun David Scheffe, his amazing wife Kara Dawn Scheffe and 2 sweet grandsons Jensen and Benjamin, all the joys of my life! I lived my life to the fullest and will dearly miss each of you. Enjoy each day of your life. Cherish those dear to you and just go for it! This is not a dress rehearsal! Do what makes you happy! I’ll be resting in peace waiting for you guys!
live Love Laugh!

My condolences to Holly, and all of the Scheffe (Adams) family. Charleen was a force of nature and her presence here will be missed.

I have often thought of Charleen and wondered if she still lived in Okalahoma, after leaving California and her bowling friends (I was 1 of them), so I googled her! It was shocking and sad that I came across her orbituary; what a sad moment for me, but uplifting and positive at the same time as she wrote such a beautiful tribute. I have and always will miss her beautiful smile, compassion and wonderful spirit. I’ll ALWAYS remember the day our beautiful Dalmatians met and swam together; the day Charleen, Holly and I became closer friends. And, let me say… Charleen was a FANTASTIC bowler! RIP my beautiful friend and God bless your family and your beautiful wife Holly.xoxxo.

Gosh. Cuz. I miss you much
I know you are watching me from above
It has been a year. Wow. Did you miss this crazy year. Your timing to get out of here was good. I am certain this crazy stuff would have driven you nuts. But… might have got you to socialize with me & cows more frequently
Looking forward to seeing you again. Love @ miss you

Charleen, you were the sweetest person with the kindest heart. These years later I still think of you often. You brightened our office whenever you came in. Thank you for your kindness, and for being so amazing. I will miss you always, your memory remains with us.
