Brad, Kristin & Paxon Peltier & Family says
Mr. Mark, as our 6-year old son Paxon Peltier affectionately called him, was Pax’s absolute favorite bus driver. Pax was a kindergartner in Fall 2022 and had always looked forward to one day riding in the big yellow school bus he’d seen driving past down the road. He finally got to ride and Mr. Mark made the end of the day special since Pax was an afternoon bus rider, and the last bus stop of the day for Bus #6. Mr. Mark chatted with Pax’s Dad Brad Peltier one day when he was wearing a Chicago Blackhawks t-shirt and kidded that “you need to buy a new shirt” because Mr. Mark was a lifelong Detroit Red Wings fan. Brad laughed and wished that someday the Blackhawks and Red Wings would play in the same NHL conference again, and Mr. Mark whole-heartedly agreed. The absolute best thing happened one day at the end of the Fall 2022 semester just before Christmas break when Pax’s Mom Kristin Peltier walked down to the bus stop after rain had just stopped. Shortly after, a large clash of thunder/lighting and heavy rain came down and Mr. Mark pulled up shortly after to drop off Pax. Mr. Mark, noticing the heavy rainstorm, told Kristin to jump on the bus, which she did, and he drove them straight down the neighborhood street and dropped off Pax and his Mom right in front of the house so they could get into the safety of home and out of the rainstorm. Little did we know that Mr. Mark wouldn’t return after Christmas Break. We figured out that something must have happened and, at Paxon’s daily request, would pray for him every evening. We were heartbroken to learn the news of his passing. We know Mr. Mark is in Heaven enjoying everlasting life given to us all through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We continue to pray for Mr. Mark’s family and loved ones. Mr. Mark was a good man and we’re very thankful to have known him even for a brief time on this earth.
