Elizabeth Marie McFarland

Elizabeth Marie Abbitt McFarland went to be with our Lord on December 12, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1955, to Charles and Dorothy Abbitt.

Elizabeth grew up in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She became a devoted wife and mother to two beautiful children. A loving and selfless woman, Elizabeth was deeply dedicated to her family. She enjoyed cooking, and caring for others—especially family, friends, and animals—and found joy in simple pleasures like gardening, feeding birds and squirrels, and planting beautiful flowers. Butterflies held a special place in her heart.

She loved music and dancing, particularly to Elvis Presley, and cherished moments spent with her children, grandchildren, and beloved dog, Daisy.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Tara, and son-in-law, Fedrick; her son, Chris, and daughter-in-law Kassi; grandchildren Paetyn, Landen, and Aubrey; great-grandson Jackson; sisters Kay and Marian; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, including Rachel, Travis, Kevin, Chelsea, two great-nieces, three great-nephews, and a great-great-nephew. She is also remembered by her dog Daisy and a host of cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Abbitt; her husband, Jerry McFarland; and other extended family members.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
