Eugene John Pickett

Eugene John Pickett, Jr. was born on June 1, 1960, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK, to Eugene and Ira Jewel Pickett. Baptized at a young age in the Catholic Church, John carried his faith throughout his life. He attended school locally before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1978.

After returning home, John worked various jobs, including at Clements Foods. Known for his kind heart and love for his family, he enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, and spending time with his great-nieces and nephews on the front porch. His life was enriched by his lifelong friendships, especially with Fred Smiley, and his witty sense of humor.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his son, Deandre Wallace (Andrea) of Oklahoma City, OK; his sisters Anita (Ronald) Young of Choctaw, OK and Lisa Pickett of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and relatives.
