Frank Traina, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of 77. Born in Bad Kissingen, Germany, on December 4, 1947, he was a longtime resident of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Frank was a devoted family man who loved his children unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Nelson-Traina; daughter Rebecca Robinson and her husband Mark Robinson; God-daughter Jeanne Chody, grandsons Jason Nelson and his wife Allison Rolling, and Justin Hawley; granddaughter Chesla Henning; great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Wyatt Nelson, Jamie Joe Hawley., Vivian "Baby Viv" Hawley; as well as family members, Gary Hall, James Chapman, Michelle Niemczyk, Josh Hall, Starla and Ryan Barnes, Frankie Barnes (name's sake), John Barnes, Carol and Mike Jack, Wendell Jr and Debbie Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mikael and COL. Philip Traina, and his son, Jamie Paul Nelson. Frank was also reunited in spirit with his uncle Warren Hall, and aunt Fran Hall, Special brother Johnnie Ogletree.
After a long successful sales career with Orkin and Terminix among other things, he came out of retirement to start his career in home improvements, which he loved and enjoyed remodeling. Which lead him to join Lowe's. During his time working at Lowe's Home Improvement, Frank was fondly known as "Stan Lee" due to his striking resemblance to the Marvel Comics legend. He had a great appreciation for Western shows like John Wayne and thoroughly enjoyed the John Wick movies. His favorite pastime was enjoying the outdoors, camping, and fishing with his family. Frank also cherished spending time with his family and was a jokester at heart, beloved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed for his kind heart.
