Frederick “Fritz” Richard Hahn

Frederick “Fritz” Richard Hahn, 81, passed peacefully Thursday, December 5, 2019 after a long struggle with COPD. He had been a resident of the Baptist Village nursing home in Oklahoma City.
He was born on January 5, 1938, in Canton, Ohio, the only son of Richard and Dolores Hahn. He had a sister, Kirstin. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Fritz played baseball as a child and young man, even playing for the United States Army baseball team during his service in the 1950’s. As a young man, Fritz established himself as a man of ambition and entrepreneurship. While he had many careers during his lifetime, his expertise was in automobile finance. He was married four times and would joke that he would always be surrounded by females—as evidenced by just living female survivors. He was known for his humor, charisma and sense of adventure in everything he tried. Fritz never knew the word quit and had incredible resilience that marked all his life’s adventures. He embraced living in a magnificent way and did everything on his own terms.
Loving survivors of Fritz include Sue Hahn, his wife of 30 years, two daughters, Brandy Hahn of Edmond, OK, and Deirdre Hahn of Fort Worth, TX, and a step-daughter, Vicky Lapierre of Lawton, OK. Also surviving are two granddaughters.
Fritz requested no funeral services, but instead hoped to see himself in Las Vegas and on a white, sandy beach for eternity.
