Gary Wayne Barger, Jr.

Devoted Husband, Father, Son, Brother, and Grandfather Gary Wayne Barger Jr passed away Saturday September 22, 2018 surrounded by his family at St Anthony’s hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Gary was born May 9, 1962 in Chandler, Arizona to Gary and Shirley Barger. Gary is survived by his wife Channon Barger of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Two daughters Misty and husband Christopher Atkinson of Perry, Oklahoma and Amber and husband Marc Ibanez of Corpus Christi, Texas.  His mother Shirley Barger of Enid, Oklahoma. Brother Richard and wife Sandi Barger of Arlington, Texas.  Sister Kathy and husband Donnie Burton of Mcloud, Oklahoma. As well as several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Gary Barger.

Gary was a resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Enid High School in 1980.  He enlisted and served in the US Army. Gary held a variety of jobs including a lifetime of Aviation work.  At the time of his death he was Lead NDT inspector for AAR in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Gary and Channon attended Word of Faith Outreach and Pleasant Hill of Hot springs, Arkansas.

Gary never met a stranger. He was an avid reader with a love for the outdoors that including camping, boating, and motorcycle riding.  Gary and Channon spent a lot of their free time riding his beloved BMW motorcycle coast to coast and into Canada.  They enjoyed visiting places around the world.

A visitation will be held at Oklahoma City Cremation, 807 W Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,  10:00 am Thursday September 27, 2018.
