Hadley Taylor Lorg

June 30, 2004 – August 28, 2015

Hadley Taylor Lorg was born in Oklahoma City on June 30, 2004. The angels rejoiced when God’s good and faithful servant Hadley entered the kingdom of heaven on August 28, 2015.

Hadley’s life was shorter than all could wish and pray for, but her impact was great and continues even after death. She fought a courageous battle against Krabbe’ Disease and even though the disease took many of her physical abilities, her faith and compassion shined bright for all to see. Her true purpose of giving God glory and bringing others to know the Lord was displayed on numerous occasions.

Hadley’s family ensured that she lived life to the fullest. She was intelligent and communicated with eye blinks.  Her favorite activities were camping, swimming, bowling and playing t-ball. Hadley’s passion was riding her horse, Hank, at the Sunset Therapeutic Riding Center and she loved her back rider, Blu. Riding at the Center added significant joy to Hadley’s life.

With Hadley’s passing we remind others that her life is to be celebrated and each day is a blessing. Although we will miss her every day, she now has a new perfect body and is in the presence of Jesus.

Hadley leaves behind many wonderful nurses that provided love and support throughout her life. There is a special place in our hearts for Holly, whose nursing judgement and expertise provided an excellent standard of care and who increased Hadley’s quality of life by consistently making an effort to make memories by doing arts and craft projects, science experiments, photo shoots, accompanying her to school and assisting with her homework.

Hadley is survived by her loving parents, mother and step-father, Tara and Mat Luse, brother Craig and sister Crist of Oklahoma City; father and step-mother, Rick and Stephanie Lorg, brother Axel, soon-to-be brother Braxton, step-siblings Eric and McKenzie of Oklahoma City; maternal grandparents Don and Teresa Ryan of Oklahoma City, Mike Pirtle and Darcy Fleming of Duncan; paternal grandparents Don and Susanna Lorg of Moore,  Errol and Nancy Mitchell of Oklahoma City, several aunts, uncles and cousins including Karson Pirtle, Hadley’s best friend.

Memorials may be made to Hunter’s Hope Foundation to further Krabbe’ Disease research at www.huntershope.org

A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Church (8901 S Shields Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73149) Monday, August 31, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
