Jackie Lee Smith, age 58, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at OU Medical Center in Edmond due to an unexpected medical complication. She had struggled with chronic pain, numerous medical complications and surgeries over the past sixteen years.
Jackie was born February 21, 1959 in Vicenza, Italy, the daughter of Milton and Mickey Fritts. She grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1977. Jackie married Terry A. Smith of Lawton, the month following her graduation. They just recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. She lived the rest of her life in Oklahoma, from Tulsa to Duncan, Oklahoma City and finally Edmond.
Jackie loved children and gave birth to her first son, Alan in 1978 and was blessed with her second son, Cameron twenty years later in 1998. Jackie operated an in-home daycare for nearly twenty years and planted the seeds for her own boys and many of her toddlers to become the outstanding adults they are today.
She was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, always offering a hand up to those in need. Jackie was best known as a homemaker, decorator, gardener and especially an outstanding chef. Though deeply grieving the loss of her Dad this past year, she made time to help with her struggling mom and brothers. She was always driven by a sincere passion to give whatever she could and more.
Jackie was survived by her husband Terry A. Smith of Edmond, son, Alan (wife Tiffany) Smith, son, Cameron Smith of Edmond, grandson, Rilee Smith of Edmond, her mother Mickey Fritts of Lawton, brother Robert (wife Tina) Fritts of Lawton, James (wife Lanae) Fritts of Lawton Tom (wife Denise) Fritts of Chattanooga, Ok. and many nephews/nieces (Robert K. Fritts II, Bradley Fritts, Lauren Fritts Stone, Miranda Fritts, Jared Fritts, Mitchell Fritts, Madeline Fritts, extended family members and countless dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Milton Fritts and nephew, Troy Fritts.
Jackie has always been, and always will be loved more than she ever imagined and always shall be.

I am so very surprised to have found this. She’s my ex-sister n law. She reached out to me last year & she has been doing the Christmas decorating of my son’s, (Troy), finale resting place, she sent me pictures of the Beautiful decorating. Her brothers, Bobby, Jimmy, Tommy & her mother Micky I’m so very sorry to read about this. My Thoughts & Prayers are with you all.
