James Buryl Cannon passed away at the age of 61 on June 13, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born to Floyd and Z. Winona Cannon in Lawton, Oklahoma on June 13, 1954.
The services for James are will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel (13400 North Kelly, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00am.

I am proud to claim that I knew James. We spent a long time together back in the nineties, and continued to work together for years afterwards, and it didn’t take long for me to know that he was an honest man with integrity. Yes, he could be gruff and tough. But underneath his grizzled exterior was a man with a heart of gold who always believed in doing the right thing. We shared some laughs and some heartaches, and we always managed to really communicate with each other when it mattered.
James will always be one of those people I’ve met in my life that will evoke good memories. That alone tells me that he was a good man.
