James Jeffrey Latham, age 50 peacefully passed away on October 9, 2016 at Baptist Integris Medical Center Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on March 14, 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma to James and Ann Latham. He was a 1984 graduate of Durant High School, and attended Harding University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University, obtaining both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Behavioral Sciences. He worked professionally as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) for many years. He was a long time resident of Ada, Oklahoma and a member of Central Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, James and Ann Latham of Durant, son, Justin Garrett Latham of Ada,Oklahoma, Step daughter Lindsay Robertson and husband Chad of Ada,Oklahoma and their three children, ex-wife DeLayne Smith of Ada,Oklahoma. Two sisters, Lynn Latham Schulenberg and husband Rick of Plano, Texas , Dana Latham of Durant,Oklahoma, one niece, Wesley Pierce, and two nephews, Nathan Pierce and Aaron Latham.
He was loved by many childhood friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, church members, friends and coworkers. He will be missed by all that knew him. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Pettijohn Springs Christian Camp in Madill,Oklahoma via their website Pettijohnsprings.com or to your favorite charity.
Memorial service will be at a later time.
