Jerrie Diane Seals (Bryant)

July 5, 1938-Dec. 25, 2020

Jerrie Diane Seals went home to be with the Lord on Christmas morning while visiting her son in Moore, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Jerrie was born to Delbert and Sue Bryant in Ft. Worth, Texas on July 5, 1938, 8 minutes after her twin sister Jean. She grew up in Houston and was working at Houston Power and Light when she met (Elton) Harold Seals. Harold was the love of her life and they were married on January 31, 1959. Jerrie and Harold moved around to several cities and states due to Harold’s job with General Telephone, including New Mexico, Arkansas and Texas and finally settled in San Angelo, Texas where Harold’s family lived. Harold and Jerrie were active members of the First Baptist Church of San Angelo, where Harold served as a deacon and Jerrie was a member of the Business Professional Women’s organization for many years. Harold passed away on June 14, 2005 and Jerrie moved to Denton, TX in 2008 to be closer to her boys who lived in Denton, Midlothian and Oklahoma at the time. Jerrie was an active member at First Baptist Church, Denton and before the pandemic hit, enjoyed working at The Refuge Center every Monday morning.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-dad and her husband. She is survived by her twin sister: Jean Strasavitch and husband Bob of Dallas; sister-in-law: Norma Cummings of San Angelo; sons: Richard and wife Susanne of Denton, Troy and wife Donna of San Angelo, Tod of Moore Oklahoma, grandchildren: Marcus, Savannah, Carson Everett, Skylar, Jaylen; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Norman Regional Hospital for taking such good care of us during such a difficult time. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church chapel in San Angelo on Saturday, January 30 at 11am.
