Jim Washburn peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on the evening of December 26, 2023, passing away in the tranquility of his sleep.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Mary Washburn; his daughter, Angela Washburn Evans, and her husband, Bill; and his son, Jeffrey Washburn. Jim held a special place in his heart for his three cherished grandsons, Tanner Cowan, Ian Wilson, and Brady Washburn. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bob Miller; brother-in-law, Larry Collins, and his wife, Pam; and sister-in-law, Sally Vaughn. Additionally, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Washburn Miller; his brother, Coy Vaughn; and his parents, Glenn and Hazel Washburn.
Known for his joyful and positive spirit, as well as his unwavering Christian beliefs, Jim was a dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene in Edmond. His memorial service will be held at Edmond First Church of the Nazarene on January 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm, providing an opportunity for friends and family to come together to celebrate his life and legacy.
