I played basketball against Joe when he was at Lewis and Clark and I was at Boise Junior College; we then both transferred to University of Idaho and played together for two years. Joe was a great all around player, a great competitor, ball handler, dribbler and shooter. His nickname at Idaho was “Jumping Joe” King. I enjoyed playing with him, he was a great teammate.
