You were such a good friend! We always had fun. I’ll never forget our Saturdays walking around Woodland Hills mall then spending the evening at Skateworld – always hoping that the guys in a certain blue Mustang would show up 🙂 Or our endless conversations on the phone in the evenings, even after talking at school. Or spending the night at your house, many times. We spent one night listening to Rapper’s Delight over and over, writing out the lyrics so we could learn the song. You had a beautiful smile and a sweet laugh. I’m so grateful that we reconnected a few years ago. I’d give anything for one more skate. You’re gone way too soon. Rest in peace. I love you. Thank you, Kelli, for being my first friend when I was the new kid at Grissom. I’ll never forget that fall day in Mrs Moore’s class when you volunteered to show me around the school; the cafeteria, the class room and Pi-C (remember that class?) And the time you wrote a note to me and asked me what I wanted to work on in Pi-C and I responded” volcabulary” and you responded by saying maybe I needed to work on spelling instead. Over the years we played softball together at Thoreau, had a blast on the Thoreau six flags trip and played tetherball in your backyard. So glad we reconnected on FB a few years ago and I’m glad I got to tell you how much it meant to a scared, little red-headed 10 yr old girl all those years ago when you raised your hand in Mrs. Moore’s class to show me around the school. I hope you realize what a blessing you were to me. Rest in peace my friend.
