Ken August Kubecka died peacefully at home on February 10, 2016. The son of the late August (Gus) and Juel Kubecka, Ken was born in El Campo, Texas, on October 16, 1956. He was the youngest of four children and grew up in Yale and Cushing, where he graduated from Cushing High School in 1974. He moved to Oklahoma City in 2005 where he enjoyed his sons, motorcycles and his many friends.
Ken is survived by two sons, Charles August Lincoln Kubecka and William Valentine Lincoln Kubecka of Perkins; his sisters, Tomi Sue Godbee and brother-in-law Rex Godbee, of Arlington, Texas, Karla Kubecka of Cushing, and Gayla Kubecka of Oklahoma City; his nephews Kyle Kubecka and Kelly Bryant; and nieces Krista Godbee and Haley Bryant. Ken also leaves behind many dear friends.
A memorial service for Ken will be held at the First Unitarian Church (600 NW 13th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73103) 2:00 PM on Monday, February 15, 2016.
A Celebration of Life for Ken will be held after the service at The Alley Club (605 SE 82nd Street, OKC, OK).

dang , where do I begin and where do I end? Ken was a wonderful friend of mine, I loved him more than he will ever know, well maybe he does know…<3 I will miss him and also look forward to seeing him again when my life is done on this earth. Punch a hole in the cosmos, Ken! till we meet again!
