Kent Evan Soper was born on January 22, 1963, in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota to Vernell and Clara (Tweten) Soper. He passed away in his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Jan 9, 2021. He was the youngest of three boys.
Kent graduated from Devil’s Lake Central High School in 1981 where he was a member of the school’s basketball team and bowling teams. His love for basketball and bowling continued throughout his lifetime.
In 1985, he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked various trucking and distribution jobs including Great Plains Coca-Cola and Imperial.
Kent was an OU sports fanatic. He closely followed every OU sports team and held season tickets to OU football.
He is survived by his brother, Keith (Jody) Soper, sister-in-aw Diane Soper and her children Heather and Kelly, nephew Travis (Rachel) Soper and his children Miles and Dylan, niece Jessica (Christian) Fierro and her children Laci and Lena, and his beloved cat Snowy.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents and his big brother, Sam Soper.
At his request, no services are to be held and he will be laid to rest in Devil’s Lake, North Dakota.
