Kim Daniace Yount

Kim Daniace Yount was born in Oklahoma City on September 6, 1965, to Tommy Lee Howard and Kathryn Ann Cook and entered God’s eternal embrace, surrounded by family, on January 31, 2024.

Kim lived her childhood in Taloga, Oklahoma. She was the oldest sister to Anna and Charles. As the older sister, she tried her best to help keep her siblings in line, but she was often unsuccessful. Some of her favorite moments were the many Sundays spent at her Grandpa and Grandma Cook’s house. There, she made many happy memories with her cousins Jennifer, Rhonda, and Terry, whom she loved dearly.

As an adult, Kim loved collecting Precious Moments figurines, teddy bears, and more recently, gnomes. She enjoyed finding a good deal at garage sales and spending time with her family. She also loved rooting for her OSU Cowboys! Kim loved many things and many people but absolutely hated being mistaken for “Kimberly.”

Kim loved her three children beyond measure. No matter where James, Jonathan, or Amy were, they knew that if they needed her, she would be there. As much as she loved being a mom, she truly found her place when she became Mimi. She adored her fifteen grandchildren, and they were her heart’s greatest joy.

Kim discovered love and unwavering support in her dedicated husband, Jeff Yount, who never left her side.

Although we will miss her laugh, orneriness, compassion, and love, we have peace knowing she is in Heaven running things and catching up with her dad, whom she adored.

Kim was greeted in Heaven by her father, Tommy; her mother, Kathryn; her nephew, Chase.

She is survived by her children: James E. Lloyd III (Tracy), Jonathan Lloyd (Mycah), and Amy Dawn Howard. Also mourning her passing are her best friend and sister, Anna Hoke, and her brother, Charles Lung (Daun). Additionally, she is survived by her nieces and nephews: Dennis Lee (Kaylin) and Ross Lee, Meagan Tauer (Bryce), and Ashli Lung. She is also remembered by her stepchildren Cody Yount (Erica), Ashley Yount (Jeremy), and Bradley Yount. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Travis, Mason, Brooklynn, Kayden, Weston, Stetson, Cooper, Reid, Olivia, Andrew, Brinleigh, Brylee, and Bexley.
