Kruse bravely served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a medical technician. After the war Kruse returned to college, became an accountant and married Mary. He had a life-long love for hunting and fishing which he instilled in his sons. He had a great love for making knives and subsequently gifting to deserving individuals including his doctors, first responders and charities. He was an accomplished HAM Radio Operator and obtained multiple operator licenses. He greatly enjoyed spending his retirement with his world-wide HAM operator contacts.

Our father instilled a strong work ethic in all of his four children and subsequently his grandchildren. We are grateful for his large sense of humor and love for his family. Also Dad greatly enjoyed the loving care of his audiologists at Hearts for Hearing. If you feel inclined please make a donation to Hearts for Hearing in Dad’s name.

The family wants all to find comfort in the words from Romans 8:12-17.
