Lindy Csizmadia
December 17, 1954 – July 28, 2015
Lindy passed away painlessly and peacefully in her husband’s arms after a courageous 28 day battle from multiple open heart surgeries. She had a burning desire to survive and live. Her guardian angel retrieved her spirit at 1:30 p.m. on July 28, 2015. God’s kingdom is enriched by her presence.
Lindy was born and raised in Westville, Oklahoma. She was one of 15 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Muskogee High and Bacone College with an associate degree in Nursing. She worked in the rehab unit of MRMC for a number of years, then became a director of a home health care agency for 8 years. Her heart disease forced her to retire in 1998. She spent her final years doting on her grandchildren and husband.
Her parents, George and Lula Guinn, and son, Jonathan Sourjohn preceded her in death. She left behind her loving husband Bill Csizmadia, her son Nathan Sourjohn, stepchildren Jason and Jamie Csizmadia. Her grandchildren, the loves of her life, Kreagan, Phoenix, and Aubrey Sourjohn, and Carson Csizmadia. She is survived by fifteen bother and sisters and many nieces and nephews. She left behind her two best friends, Donna Coleman and Peggy Machala.
Lindy enjoyed garage and estate sales, QVC shopping, and trips to Eureka Springs. Lindy liked going to the NSU Summer Playhouse shows and the Muskogee Little Theater. She especially enjoyed sitting outdoors talking with Bill and watching the squirrels jumping through the trees.
God broke the mold after making Lindy. She was caring and loving to everyone. Honesty, humbleness, love and charity were a daily part of her life. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She and Bill had something stronger than love. It was called “oneness,” a merging of spirit and souls. She gave of herself, every day of her life, even after death. She was an organ donor and donated herself to the O.U. Med Center School.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held for Lindy on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Community Center in Proctor, Oklahoma. The Community Center is located adjacent to Highway 62 on the south side, just ¼ mile west of the Tyner Creek bridge. A potluck meal will follow, so please bring a food dish to share. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charitable organization – Lindy would love that.

My sweet sister, Lindy, was a very kind and generous person. She always kept it real, never pretentious. She never had an easy live growing up, but she did her best to look toward the future anticipating the best of outcomes. She loved her family to the depths of her being, just as we all loved her. We are so saddened that she was taken from us and this earthly home much sooner than we wanted, but we hope to reunite with her again one day soon. I love you Sissy and will miss you forever.

I loved my Sissy very much and miss her tremendously. It seems like only yesterday we were together at Proctor,OK for our family reunion. We heard her laugh and she always enjoyed being with her family. I can’t believe she’s gone so soon without a real goodbye. I was thankful I was able to be with her for a while in the hospital but I didn’t realize when I left that I would not see her again in this life. She was the fourth sibling we lost in death in the past three years. Sissy always lit up when she talked about her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. I hope to see her again in the resurrection as the Bible promises in Revelation 21:3,4 when no one will suffer pain or sickness.
