Lisa Gaye Vecsey (Pope)

Lisa Gaye Vecsey passed away on January 4, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with loving family by her side. Lisa was born on June 9, 1961, the daughter of William and Norma Pope (Rogers).  Lisa was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Lisa has a truly amazing love story with her family, especially her husband Christopher. Their love story began in the spring of 1977, they were high school sweethearts and were inseparable. Lisa graduated from Putnam North high school in 1979. After High school Lisa went on to work for 26 years at Farm bureau insurance company where she worked as a claims adjustor, she will be missed dearly by all she worked with. Lisa was very involved in her family they came before ANYTHING!! They were her heart and joy of life. Her cooking was her passion to bring joy to others. Thanksgiving and Christmas is what she looked forward to all year. She always saw the best in people no matter the situation. Lisa will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Lisa leaves behind Husband; Chris Vecsey of Edmond, Oklahoma, daughter; Alicia Dawn Vecsey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son; Christopher Mark Vecsey Jr. wife Alicia of Roxana, Illinois, grandchildren; Kendra, Mya, Jaylynn, Joshua, Justin, Jared, and Kolton, sister; Mary Jane Henderson, brother; John Pope, she also leaves behind her dogs Harley and Bobo, who were the apple of her eye.

She is preceded in death by her parents; William and Norma Pope, sister; Cindy Hooley.
