Service for Marguerite Lavada Scoles will be held at the Chapel at Oklahoma City Cremation, 807 W Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73114, Thursday February 10th, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
Marguerite Lavada (Thomason) Scoles passed away on January 19, 2022, at the age of 74, and was reunited with her husband William Scoles, who preceded her in death. Marguerite was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 20, 1947, to Gertrude Barrand and James Thomason who also preceded her in death. Marguerite grew up in Arkansas but later moved to Oklahoma where she attended U.S. Grant High School and studied English Language at OCLA. She worked for 18 years at Grant Thornton as an Audit Word Processor before her retirement. Margo loved reading, doing puzzles, family game nights, watching birds and squirrels from her window, and playing her piano; She also loved going to the tea room on her birthday to celebrate.
Margo was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and James Scoles; husband, William Scoles; sister, Jeanette (Jet) Shephard; and long-time friend, Karen Flesher. She has been survived by her brother, Christopher Thomason of Arizona; her three loving children, son Christopher (Eddie) Black, and daughters Tamara Cox and Suzanne (Sam) Aurora Michelle Scoles along with her significant other Jarrod Lee Wheat; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Raylynn, Heather, Delilah, Serenity, David, and Destiny; and numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
