Maryanne McDonald Fite Miller was born on November 21, 1942 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Joe and Irene McDonald. She was welcomed into Heaven on November 7, 2015.
She grew up in Mangum, Oklahoma where she graduated from Mangum High School in 1960. On June 4 of that same year, she married Leo Fite. Together they raised two sons, Kurt Leo and Kris Leo. She helped with the operation of the family farm and ranch, and could drive a tractor like no other. One year, Leo thought a plow would make a great anniversary gift!
Maryanne graduated from the Oklahoma University School of Nursing in 1965. She was the Director of Nursing at the Mangum Hospital for many years. Later, she became a registered electrologist and had successful electrology clinics in Mangum, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Maryanne was very connected to the Mangum community. She played the organ at the Methodist Church and was asked to play for countless weddings and funerals. Maryanne and Leo were the class parents of Kris’s 1987 high school class. Their house was always open to the Fite boys’ friends, and everyone always left well fed. Leo passed away unexpectedly in 1994.
In 1999, Maryanne moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be closer to Kurt, Kris, Kelly and two year old Lauren. In fact, she moved into a house down the street from Kris and Kelly, and was able to spend quality time with them daily.
Maryanne met Eric Miller and they began a friendship that lasted several years. They fell in love and were married on February 14, 2004. They enjoyed spending time at their Lake Eufaula property where they hosted many friends and family, and caught lots of sand bass. She loved going to ministry conferences, staying in hotels, and was always on the lookout for a good chicken fried steak. She loved the Lord her God with all of her heart, soul and mind. Many people were blessed through her life.
Maryanne’s granddaughters, Lauren and Lindsey, were her pride and joy. They truly had a special bond. They went on many trips together and spent hours and hours playing cards around the kitchen table. She made it a point to try to be at every performance, concert, or function they were involved in, and bragged on them to everyone she met. She spoke life into them and was a wonderful role model and an example of a Godly woman.
Maryanne is survived by her husband Eric Miller of the home in Edmond, Oklahoma, sons Kurt Fite of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kris Fite and wife Kelly of Edmond, Oklahoma; granddaughters Lauren and Lindsey Fite of Edmond, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Irene McDonald, and her husband Leo Fite.

Maryanne is deeply missed but she will never be forgotten. She was used by the Lord to heal so many lives. She was always joyfully about His business. A great example to us. I am blessed to have known her and I am better for it. Love you Maryanne and Eric.

I am so sad to hear of Maryanne’s passing. She impacted my life with the love and awe of God! She believed in me when I need it the most! What a beautiful spiritual life she lived full of matured spiritual fruit! Heaven is getting heavy with so many amazing saints up there. She has joined in their intercession for us. I look forward to seeing her on the other side. She knew where she was going and had no fear. What a blessing to have had her in my life. Thank you Eric for loving her so well. We only met a couple of times, but I know you made her heart so incredibly happy.

I just found this post and did not know Marianne had passed away since I left OK City years ago. What a special lady! I went to her electrologist business and God had a lot more in store for me than hair removal! I consider her to be one of my spiritual mentors. I’m one of so many touched by her life and faith. Can’t wait to see her again!
