Michael Roy Johnson
July 27, 1955 – April 15, 2016
Michael was born in Midland Texas and passed peacefully in his sleep in his Oklahoma City home.
Michael moved with his mother Mildred Jean Courtney Johnson to Oklahoma City. Shortly after, his mother married Eugene E. Trumbull, who raised Michael as his own Son.
Michael attended high school at John Marshall and after graduating attended OSU. He was a loyal Cowboy fan for life. After leaving OSU Michael traveled around the country erecting radio towers.
He joined the Navy in 1977 and served with honors for 6 years. After leaving the Navy Michael returned to his home town where he met and married his wife of 32 years Cheryl Johnson. They had two sons, Brian and Justin Johnson.
Michael was a devoted father and husband. His energy and attention was always to the raising of his sons and the happiness of his home. His loss will be felt by all who knew him.
He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, and his daughter in law and granddaughter Tera and Zoey Johnson. Michael is survived by his wife Cheryl Johnson, sons Brian and Justin Johnson, daughter in law Kristen Johnson, granddaughter Darcy Johnson, and grandsons Isaac and Skyler Johnson.
Michael loved his family which also included his dogs of which there were many over the years. He loved to read and play with his grandchildren on a daily basis.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Grand Hall at Castle Falls, located at 820 N. MacArthur in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday the 25th at 1 pm. Friends and Neighbors are invited to join the family for pictures, music and stories.
