Nancy Ragenea Peterson

June 25, 1950 — January 24, 2024

Nancy Ragenea Peterson entered her eternal rest on January 24th, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Nancy was born on June 25th, 1950 in Oklahoma City, OK, to her wonderful parents Dale and Aileen Sullivan. She would be the oldest of four children. Nancy developed a love for music at a young age, and would often reminisce about the sock hops she attended in the school gym. She could often be found cleaning her house with the backdoor open and a record playing. Nancy enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, walking her dogs, and visiting the occasional bingo hall. She was a devoted mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Nancy always said that her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her three sons. After years of being a single mother, she met John Peterson in 1980, they were married until his passing in 2021. Nancy's love for cooking guided her in her career as a dietary manager. Her cooking was the reason for many family gatherings, especially her signature chicken and dumplings. As well as helped to build friendships to last, with her being known as Momma, Nana, Aunt Nancy, and Miss Nancy to many. To know her was to be loved by her and she left an impact on every soul she encountered. Words cannot do justice to the amazing life that Nancy lived. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
