Patsy Lue Sheward (Petty), 82, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born on August 18, 1941, Patsy grew up in Walters, Oklahoma, and attended Walters High School before completing her senior year at Mangum High School. Where she met and married the love of her life G.W. Sheward on December 14, 1958. They were married 57 years until G.W.'s passing in 2015. 

For many years, Patsy dedicated herself to her career as a lab technician, demonstrating a remarkable commitment to her profession. Known for her loving, giving, strong, and humble nature, she took great pride in her family, cherishing moments with her children, grandchildren and great grand children. 

Patsy is survived by her children, Geoff Sheward, Tim Sheward, and Amy Burk; grandchildren Lana, Tanner, Zachary, Justin Sheward, Allison, and Abigail Burk; and great-grandchildren Mason, Daltry, Trenton Williams, Jonathon, and Madily Sheward. She also leaves behind her brother, Jerry Petty. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, G.W. Sheward; her parents, William and Vena Petty; brothers Sonny and Donald; and sisters Betty, Billie Jean, and Faye.

Beyond her professional and family life, Patsy was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Mangum, where she found a strong community of faith. Her hobbies included crochet, needlepoint, and reading. She was an avid bird watcher, often found sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee, identifying various bird species.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the First Baptist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma, on September 14 at 2:00 p.m. Patsy's legacy of kindness and strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
