Polly Frances Ulmer passed away peacefully in Oklahoma City on August 19, 2020, with her loving
son and daughter in law by her side. She was the mother of William Melvin Thomas Ulmer and
grandmother of Case William Ulmer, whom she both loved fiercely.
Polly was born on December 31, 1941 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to John Boone Hankins and
Margaret McDaniel Timmons. Upon her death, she resided in Oklahoma City where she attended
Unity Church in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. She was known as “Grammie” to her one and only
grandchild, Case William Ulmer, who she enjoyed eating ice cream with every Friday night. She
was a believer in date nights, exploring mysteries, and adored the color hot pink. She loved
visiting New Mexico, doting on her sweet dog, Spirit, and celebrating the uniqueness of all walks
of life. Her favorite phrase to tell people was that they were “precious and valuable.” Polly was
precious and she was certainly valuable.
Polly’s final resting place will be at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. However, her
wings will carry her to her eternal resting place, and she will be forever missed. There was not a
day that went by without knowing she loved her son, her grandson and her daughter in law. We
will continue to know we were loved by our sweet Polly, and she will be in our hearts forever.

from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”
