Robert McAlister

Robert McAlister, aged 76, passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 17th, 1948, in Norman, Oklahoma, Robert spent his childhood in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Robert joined the Army in 1967. He was stationed at the U.S. Army Training Center at Fort Hood, Texas, where he specialized as an Auto Mechanic.

After proudly serving in the Military, Bob became a truck driver, a career he deeply loved and enjoyed for 52 years.

Robert (Bob) was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn McAlister, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Bob was a devoted father to his two daughters, Laurie McNeill (married to Jason McNeill) and Heather Harry (married to Todd Harry). He was a cherished grandfather to Lindsey Riggall (married to Cole Riggall), Mackensey McNeill, Myles McNeill, Ashlynne Harry, Maggie Harry, and Alex Harry. He was a proud great-grandfather to Cooper and Collins Riggall. Bob is also survived by his brothers, Jack McAlister (married to Cindy), and Stephen Montgomery (married to Jeri), and his sister, Jerry Stetler (married to Jim). He was preceded in death by his parents, JL and Eilleen McAlister, and his sister, Linda Hall. Bob was adored by his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In his free time, Bob had a passion for old country music and classic westerns. An avid supporter of OU football, Bob also loved fishing, reading Louis L'Amour books, playing the guitar, and spending quality time with his family, which brought him the greatest joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1st, at 10:30 am at Life.Church in Mustang, OK, located at 1052 E State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK 73064. We invite all who knew and loved Bob to join us in celebrating his life and the wonderful memories we shared with him.
