Sarah Jane “Janie” Burgan

Unable to speak, and bedridden, Janie has been moving toward the gates of Heaven. When Jesus called she was ready, and she left this earth being able to run and speak. Parkinson’s Disease no longer has a hold on her, and she is free.

Sarah Jane “Janie”   Burgan left this earth on October 13, 2016. Janie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 7, 1937 to Dr. and Mrs. Edward White. She graduated from Shortridge High School, and went on to Indiana University Medical Center where she trained as an X-Ray Technician.

She met the love of her life, her husband Hobe , and they were married on September 5th, 1959.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hobe. Sons Steven Burgan, his wife, Melissa and grandchildren Aubry and Chase Burgan. She is also survived by son Michael, his wife Stacy, and granddaughters Lauren Langer and her husband Josh, and Linsey Burgan.

Her joys for in life were her family, her Scotties, and spending time at either Lake Tenkiller, or on a beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

I lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her name be sent to Crossings Community Church, 14600 N Portland Ave. OKC, OK 73134, Or The Parkinson’s Foundation of Oklahoma, 720 W. Wilshire Blvd, OKC, OK 73116.

The family would like to thank her many friends, Crossings Community Church, Integris Hospice staff and volunteers, and the staff at the Integris Hospice House.

A Memorial Celebration of Janie’s life will be held in the Crossings Community Church Chapel Wednesday, October 19th at 11:00 AM.
