Stacy Mccoy-Rose

Stacy McCoy-Rose of Norman, Oklahoma passed away peacefully late Thursday night, June 6, 2019, with some of her loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. She was 49.

Stacy was born on January 26, 1970 in Aberdeen, Maryland. She is survived by her parents, MG Ray E. McCoy and Phyllis McCoy; her sister, Shana McCoy; her two children, Tim and Emma Rose; her husband, Hans Rose and her nephew, Aedyn McCoy.

Stacy was a devoted mother and an avid photographer who had a passion for words, and a love for the simple beauties in life. She enjoyed watching movies, playing with the OU Women’s rugby team, puzzles, and traveling with friends.

When diagnosed, she made one straightforward request to be able to see her children graduate from High School, and with much determination and strength, she succeeded.

Stacy’s infectious smile and undeniable laughter radiated positivity and happiness to all she encountered. Her voice was a beacon of comfort, and when she lost her ability to speak, she found pictures to express what she could not say. Stacy will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
