Stephen Lawrence Dotson

June 7, 1955 — January 22, 2025

Steve was born on June 7, 1955 in Waco,Texas. He passed away on January 22, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years.
He is survived by his Mother and Father, Cecile & Charles Dotson
Sister: Melanie Wiggins
Brothers: Brian & Darryl Dotson
Daughter: Angela Miles
Two grandchildren, several nieces/nephews, and great nieces/nephews.
Steve graduated in 1973 from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City Oklahoma.
In high school woodworking class he made a beautiful Bow that was his prized possession. He loved the sport of archery.
He was artistic, had a talent for drawing, and he had beautiful handwriting. He especially liked sketching pictures of hot rods. Cars were his passion and working on cars was a favorite pastime. The first car he purchased was a 1966 Pontiac LeMans. He was so proud of that car.
Steve moved to California in the early 80’s and lived there about 10 years and then moved back “home” to Oklahoma City where he lived until his death.
He worked several types of jobs in his life, but had a career of 30+years in sheet metal fabrication for commercial building HVAC units. In later years he had a small lawn service and worked several years until his health began to decline.
Steve will be missed but we are thankful he is no longer suffering and pray that he is resting in peace. There will not be a funeral service at this time.
The family is planning a private memorial for a later date.
