Teresa (Hunny, Mom, Nena, Trish, Tess) Michelle Shrum was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Parents Alfred Junior & Linda Kay (Strothers) Shrum. She was a sister to Lisa, Shelly, Timothy, & Anthony. She currently has two very special people involved in her life that she considered “adoptive parents” Bill & Carol Gore, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She graduated from Muhall-Orlando High School in 1983. She happily married David Miles Waltman in December of 1983. They started a family in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They had been residents to Perkins, Cushing, Edmond, Yukon, Mustang, & Finally resided in Blanchard, Oklahoma. They have three children: Amber Downs & husband Clint, of Yukon, Oklahoma. Courtney Waltman, of Tuttle, Oklahoma. Brandon Waltman & Wife Jessica, of Blanchard, Oklahoma. She is “Nena” to five “beautiful” grandbabies: Reagan, Keegan, Braydon, Corbin, & baby Daxton, due any day. They had her heart, and she would do anything for her babies. She took pride in taking care of people. She would take care of her family and others, she would always help clean and cook. Her favorite recipes came from Ree Drumond the Pioneer Women. She loved to spoil her grandbabies. She also loved to shop and had an addiction to shoes! David & Teresa enjoyed relaxing on their land and grill in the evenings, and brought the family together for cookouts. She was a wonderful wife & mother. Our unexpected loss is very difficult, we will cherish her memory, and she will be deeply missed.
Teresa is preceded in death by her dear father Alfred Junior Shrum, Brother Timothy Shrum. Brother & Best friend Anthony Shrum, Grandparents, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins. Her memorial service will be held at Crossroads Church (8901 S. Shields Blvd. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73149) Saturday July 11th at 2:00pm.

This has me in shock, teresa was a second mom to me! I grew up from the age of 10 with her daughter courtney and I’m now 29… she was a great mother and grandmother to be around… Teresa(mom) I love you and miss you dearly!!! Now ur reunited with Ur brother and father, I hope she looks after us all and is waiting to be reunited with us again as well… love you guys and very sorry for Ur loss

Teresa was my cousin whom I looked up to like a big sis growing up. She has been a tremendous help to me over the last 5 weeks calling to check on Lance and I after losing my dad so suddenly. She was an awesome wife, mom and grandma. She loved her grandkids and always talked about them. She will be dearly missed. Give hugs and kisses to all the family you are now with cuz. I love you and miss you♥

Teresa seemed to always have a smile on her face in HS. She was a very outgoing person. Over the years we all moved on with our lives and we haven’t been in touch much. It is so sad to hear of her passing. My deepest heartfelt condolences to her loved ones and friends left behind. May you find comfort in the memories of fun times and laughter. <3

The loss of Teresa will be felt from now until we see her again.
No matter how long between my trips to Oklahoma, when I saw Teresa & David we would pick up right where we left off as if no time had past.

I have fond memories of Teresa with her family and especially her grandchildren. She always included Jacob at Christmas with her big Santa bags full of toys for all the kids. They loved to be with their Nena and she will be

Mom it has been two years and one day since you passed probably the hardest thing I have gone through and still is. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you or miss you and wish you were still here I’m not big on saying prayers but I have said one every night the last two years I just wanted to tell you I miss you and love you so much… love Brandon

Nena.. tomorrow marks 3 years we have been without you. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. We all miss you so much. Nothing is the same without you being here. watching Brandon going through life without you is one of the hardest things for me to do.. he misses you more than anything. Every time I look at Dax I am reminded of you. You sent the perfect baby down from heaven to help with the heartache of missing you.. he’s got that fire in him just like his Nena. I wish you could be here with us, but I know you are in a much better place. Reagan is a beautiful young lady now, Keegan such a handsome young man, bray such a shy laid back boy, and Corbin he is such a sweet boy always looking out for his cousin Dax and so competitive he loves to win like his daddy 🙂 and any day we will get to meet Courtney’s beautiful baby girl! I know your watching from above and proud of them all. We love you nena.. always.

It’s been 5 years and I still have you on my mind all the time. I’m about to be 16 now and I even have a car! But I’m sure you know that already😂. Every year that goes by I never forget the small things you did for me throughout your lifetime and I will forever be grateful for that. Thank you for the love and support for me and the rest of your grandbabies, we all miss and love you very much

Not a day goes by that we don’t all think about you and wish you were still here. Everyone says time heals all wounds but this one is something that can never be healed… all the grand babies are growing up so fast. It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years.
