It is with deep regret we inform you that Trent Hunter Gibson has passed away.
Trent Gibson, best friend and devoted husband of Stephanie, the enormously proud dad of Hunter, age 12, forever a Christian warrior and role model — joined God in the afternoon of Sunday, October 21. Surrounded throughout by devoted friends and loved ones, Trent had battled relentlessly against a brain cancer for 4 ½ years. There was no give-up in Trent.
Born on February 7, 1974 in Kilgore, Texas, Trent was a warrior for God’s love, for family & friends, and for the spirit of community. He was a loving husband and patient father. Trent wrote a letter to his son and published his message in Treasure – Discovery of True Manhood in 2014.
Trent is survived by his wife Stephanie, his son Hunter, his parents Tom and Rita Gibson, his brother and sister-in-law Jason and Michelle Gibson; his father and mother-in-law, Ken and Sharon Lease; his sister-in-law and husband, Liz and Paul McCaffrey and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. But he is survived primarily through his love, service, ministry, and dedication to family, friends, and community. His was a life that touched many and will continue to do so.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Tom and Rita, I am sorry for the loss of Trent and won’t be in town Friday. It seems you have moved from your home on 206. May God be close to you at this time. Elliot Johnson
Valerie Bradford says
I went to grade school/jr high with Trent. I was lucky to have known him and to have called him my friend. Intelligent, sweet, sincere, honest and a loyal friend to many, i am certain he will remain in the hearts and minds of all of us who had the pleasure of spending a part of our lives with him. My condolences to his beautiful family.
