Vernell Williams

Vernell Williams was born in Boley, Oklahoma on July 22, 1930, to Albert and Hattie Camper. She was the youngest of 6 children . Her Siblings proceeded her in death. Vernell graduated from Boley High School. After graduating, she married James Williams on November 29, 1947. James and Vernell moved to Spencer, Oklahoma in 1951. Vernell joined First Baptist Church of Green Pastures. She was a Deaconess, she sang in the choir, and held many other positions within the church. James and Vernell were married 69 years at the time of her husbands death in 2016. Her husband James, their son Jimmie and 3 other children proceeded her in death. She has 3 living children, Hattie Nesbit (John Nesbit) of Moore, OK, Verna Swindle (Charles Swindle) of Spencer, Oklahoma and Coley Williams of Spencer, Oklahoma. Vernell leaves behind a host of family and friends.

A service for Mrs. Williams will be held on December 15, 2018, eleven o’clock in the morning a First Baptist Church of Green Pastures in Spencer, Oklahoma with Pastor Wandick officiating.
