Veryl “Lee” Pulliam, 73, passed away on December 24, 2019, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with loving family by his side. He was born on April 14, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma. He was the son of Elby and Mildred Pulliam (Powell). Lee graduated high school in 1964 from Waukomis, Oklahoma. He was an avid sports fan as a young man, playing football and basketball. Lee was a proud Navy Veteran joining the Navy right after high school, serving 13 months, of his 4 years on the U.S.S. Oxford in Vietnam, as an Electronic Technician. Serving his country with honor was one of the most proud times in his life.
Lee married the love of his life, Diana Lynn Pulliam, on January 6, 1990, and they were married for almost 30 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Lee was a passionate sports fan his whole life, played sports in high school, playing Rugby in his 40’s, power lifting in his 50’s, and competition power lifting in his 60’s. His love for all things sports led him to mentor and coach AAU youth basketball for a time. Cheering for both OU and OSU football and basketball, except when they played each other. (BOOMER!)
