Warren Ray Cheatham passed away on March 27, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 24, 1921 in Haskell, Oklahoma. He is the son of Mack and Mona Cheatham. Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Rita Cheatham, sisters Kay and Maxine and brother Jay, (and in truth, Warren was preceded in death by nearly everybody he ever knew).
He is survived by his brother Ken Cheatham, three daughters, DeAnn Dodd, Debby Norsworthy, Dawn Norvell, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a Gospel Preacher for many years, even up until his death.
Services will be held at the Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be made to a veterans organization or to a local hospice.

Dee, Deb, and Dawn,
I had planned to be driving to Dallas now to attend the memorial service but since that’s not happening I am writing this note instead.
I have so many great memories concerning Warren, especially his teaching style and the way he dealt with difficult situations. He was so smooth and cool hardly anyone could take offense. And he and Rita were the absolute best example at practicing hospitality. Every new person and prospect was taken into their home and under their wing! Warren came to me one time, handed me a sermon outline, gave me a date and told me I would be speaking that evening! I almost passed out! He assured me that he would help me and that it would turn out great. Not quite great but I survived and that gave me the desire to continue to try to grow in that area. He was a great encourager!! Every young Christian needs a Warren Cheatham in their life!
Warren will always have a place in my heart. I really appreciate his sacrifice for our country, and as a preacher of the gospel. Our thoughts and prayers will continue for all of you, especially tomorrow morning.
God be with all of you,
Danny

My condolences to the family. I met Warren only about a year ago. Clearly a saint on earth and one of the kindest individuals I have ever encountered in my life. So kind to my wife and family as we were grieving a loss. I wish I could bottle his attitude. An incredible example.
