On October 29, 2019 William (Will) Grant Wion, loving husband, father of three, PopPop of one, and dedicated son was called home early, at the age of 38.
Will was born on July 1, 1981 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to John and Ada Wion. He was one of four children. Will began his career as a Radiographer Technician in Oklahoma, branching out into other states. Will has three beautiful daughters, Tabitha, Evelyn, and Alexis. On July 7, 2012 he married his soulmate and the love of his life, Bylli Saxton Wion.
Will had a passion for woodworking, golf, and fishing. He also enjoyed music, guns, and fire crackers. To say that the 4th of July was a major holiday at the Wion house would be an understatement! Will was an avid knife collector and enjoyed working outside in his homemade Koi pond. Will loved his three daughters with all of his heart. He had just become a PopPop on March 14, 2019. He loved his granddaughter Aeryn and always looked forward to spending quality time with her.
Will was known for his goofy humor, warm smile, humble personality, and his sunshades. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back and go out of his way to help others in need. He had a kind and compassionate spirit, and a love affair with FaceTime filters which made everyone laugh. He excelled at math and grilling outside. He loved to fix things, often using gorilla glue and duct tape as a first resort. He thoroughly enjoyed watching movies with no commercials.
Will would always give the love hand sign from afar, before he would leave. In addition to all of Will’s wonderful hobbies, his one desire was to make his soulmate happy. It was as if they were one person. His deep love and devotion for Bylli was well known by everyone. Their relationship was built on mutual support and a deep-rooted love for each other. Their love story, one to be envied and admired by each who know them. Will left his mark on the world that no one could ever replicate. He never met a stranger and he couldn’t keep a smile hidden. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Will is survived by his wife of seven years, Bylli, his three daughters, Tabitha, Evelyn, and Alexis. His granddaughter Aeryn. His parents, John and Ada Wion. His brother, John (Jay) Wion and his children. Two sisters, Leana Wion and Robertta Gettel, husband David Gettel and their children, as well as various other family members. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, GG and a brother from another mother, Truman Nance, best known as “T-Man”.
