William “Rusty” Russell Close Jr was born on February 14, 1968 in. Boise City, Oklahoma to William “Bill” Close Sr and Carol Dudley Close. He was raised in Southwest Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from Douglass High School. He worked at several jobs during his lifetime, the last being an Assembler at Walmart in Edmond, Oklahoma.
He passed into the arms of his Savior on July 17, 2021 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents Carol and Bill as well as his first wife Crystal. He is survived by his wife Amber Shockey Close; his son Blake Close, Blake’s wife Taz and daughter Jordynn.
Rusty’s Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Steve and Lois Shockey at 2427 SW 23rd Street in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Saturday July 24 from 2-4 pm.
