3 Important Questions To Ask When Shopping Cremation

Click on the questions below to reveal each respective answer.

  • What is the price?

Many funeral homes and cremation services will initially quote a low price only to tack on additional fees, and undisclosed third-party charges later.

So how do you get to the real cost for their cremation service?  It's fairly simple. When given a quote, always ask, “Is that the number I will write on my check?” This will typically bring to light, any hidden or undisclosed charges which can add hundreds of dollars to your cost.

    Oklahoma City Cremation's Answer:

The price we advertise or share with you over the phone, is an all-inclusive price and is the total price you’ll pay.

  • Where do they go?

Most funeral homes use the word "Cremation" in their name, even if they don’t have a crematory and outsource to a third-party. Worse, they may not even be a funeral home. (An example: www.heritagecremationprovider.com)

Ask for the physical address of their crematory and write it down.  Call several funeral homes and you’ll see that prices vary greatly, but the actual crematory doesn't.

    Oklahoma City Cremation's Answer:

Our crematory is located within our main location: 910 NW 79th in Oklahoma City and is open for you to inspect in person or on-line.

  • How do I know?

It’s scary but true, that even if they have a crematory, most funeral homes do not have a detailed cremation process which they can easily share with you.

Scarier still, if you asked, “Can you prove who is in the urn?” …they can’t.

    Oklahoma City Cremation's Answer:

Our Worry Free Cremation™  process includes a Positive ID Protocol™ and HD Video Oversite™ technology that gives us the unique ability to verify each cremation we perform. This is part of what makes Oklahoma City Cremation the most trusted crematory in Oklahoma.
